Baby, I'm right here

(Letter to the one I'm going to spend the rest of my life with)

Whoever you are and whereever you are in this whole wide world, I cannot wait to meet you.  That day will be the beginning of the rest of my life, and ours too, granting the feeling is mutual.

What will you look like? Will you be exactly as I've imagined you for years? I trust God that He will give me someone who is a perfect match to me, picked like a proverbial needle out of the haystack. Hard to find, but well worth it.

Indeed, I cannot wait to meet you. To hold you and kiss you is my wish. My heart longs for the day when we profess our love, say our vows, and build the perfect family. I cannot wait to see what the fruits of our love would look like.

Maybe you are with someone else. That's okay. When you come out of it, you will be the latest version of yourself, perfected by storms of previous relationships. Or maybe I have already met you. Maybe I have overlooked you among my list of guy friends, unaware that the one thing I wanted most was just there, waiting to be noticed.  If that's the case, I pray for new eyes, that I will see you for the wonderful man you really are. I pray for the moment to arrive when we finally realize we are each other's missing piece.

To my future, I am most ready for you. But as I have yet to find you out of the millions of men out there, I shall remain waiting, hoping that you are feeling the same way I am right now- that you can't wait to meet me too.
