LIfestyle Change

I have slacked long enough in terms of keeping in shape.  With the kind of stress I deal with, I just couldn't manage to keep up with what I promised myself- to exercise, eat healthy, and not gain weight in the process.

As of today, I started running, careful not to overdo it. I've been lifting small weights to make my arms firm. Honestly, I don't like how my arms look when I take pictures, especially when I pose sideways.  They just look flabby, fat. Not very appealing.  Maybe the camera just adds some extra pounds.  Whatever it is, I'm not abandoning my weights just yet.  I also do crunches in between yoga poses for extra workout.  Yoga feels amazing.  I still have a lot to improve though.  I still want to accomplish my goal-- do the handstand or the downward-facing tree pose. But that scares the hell out of me.  What if I break my back? That would be the end.

Of course, exercise means nothing if you don't watch what you eat.  What I do is eat a full breakfast, then when I come home from school around noon, I eat some fruit and vegetables then nothing until it's almost bedtime and that's when I drink warm milk.  It's so hard. But I am determined.

Change is good.
